Ramblings from Jeff - March 2006 (From Newsletter)

Hey Guys,
What’s goin on hombres. Well I really hope everyone took what I did out of revival this past week. I am so thankful that we have people like Bro. Don and Bro. Barry that will give us things straight up, ya know not sugarcoated or dipped in molasses. They speak the word of God, Sunday after Sunday. That helps me come to my point of the month. OK, God speaks to Bro. Barry, Michael, and Bro. Neal, and they listen, right? Well, take this and taste it THAT SAME GOD TALKS TO US! The exact same Holy, perfect, awesome, amazing, beautiful, almighty God talks to us, each and everyone of us. Are we listening? I mean I know he’s speaking, but the majority of us tune Him out and totally ignore Him. Let that be your goal this month (and forever actually). Listen to God and act upon it. Well, by the time most of you read this we will have already been to Student Life. I am really looking forward to it right now and hoping that it will be a blessing to everyone. So you guys, as you get ready for SPA-RANG break and buy your first swimsuits for the year, remember that there’s some things associated with this time of year we just might not want to participate in. So, as I let you guys go, I hope everyone has a nice midterm (haha) and that you have a fun spring break. Well I love you guys, and Totally LOVE GOD

Some Ministry Changes...Fun and Exciting Stuff!

We are renaming some events to better discribe who we are and what we are doing. One of these changes is the name of out Wednesday Night Bible Study which used to be called ROCK. The new name is The Uprising because I believe that a new uprising is coming from your generation. A generation that is ready to see some real change take place in the body of the church.
ROCK will now be the name of our monthly students reaching students visitation program. Reaching Others for Christ's Kingdom is a more effective name for an outreach program.
Our praise band now has a name! Sovereign Heights is the group that will be leading our praise and worship and hopefully singing at some community events! The members of the group are: Morgen Battey, Hannah Harrelson, Ellie Watson, Susie Watson, Anna Henderson, Alex Johnston, Jason Morgan, Nathan Holcomb, and Daniel Beckworth. Brad Barnes and Jeremy Morgan are hanging in there for anothe rmonth or so until the new group is solidly on their feet.
More changes will be announced soon!
